Graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts - Beijing (2007). Inspired by the ancient Dunhuang Murals, Jiang paints landscapes using predominately oil offering a fresh perspective on traditional Chinese culture and exploring themes of consumerism in our everyday lives.

The Dunhuang Murals believed to be created in the 4th century are today widely deemed as a treasure house containing extremely valuable information about religions, culture, economy, social life, military and international exchanges in ancient China.

“Beneath the surface of this work lies a complex narrative. The background hues of these landscapes imitate Tiffany blue and Hermès orange, symbols of our insatiable material desires. The subtle infiltration of consumerism, like a soft mountain breeze at first, brings a fleeting sense of novelty and gratification. Yet, it gradually grows into a formidable force, penetrating every aspect of our reality and psyche. In the ever-changing landscape depicted on canvas, can we, like the resilient pine forest, retain our authenticity and navigate the shifting currents of time and desire?”
