SAMUEL ALMANSA

Almansa is a rising star in the art world, making waves both in Spain and internationally.

Samuel studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Cuenca, where he explored many modes of artistic expression such as video, installation, painting and mural. From there, Samuel found that he had a natural gift with the air brush, a tool that is growing in popularity the world over.

Often Samuel's work is reflecting on his home town of El Arenal in Mallorca, he tells us how the vibe is a mash-up of working-class grit and touristy glitz.  Think kitschy beach shops rubbing shoulders with sleepy early-morning truck drivers. It’s a world where souvenir towels and family traditions collide - where motorcycles, reggaeton, techno and table football share the space with flag-draped bars and gold chains.

Samuel’s work isn’t about nostalgia or following the trendy revivals of the ‘90s and 2000s’. Instead, he highlights the enduring relevance of his visual references that stick to the town like gum under the bar of his local taberna. For Almansa, it’s not a revival but a timeless reflection of suburban culture across generations, which can still be seen today in his Balearic hometown.
